Soft Shell Crab with Chef's Secret Batter, S$7.90
This is somehow my favourite soft shell crab on the island! I love the tasty batter and topping of fried garlic. It's a pretty generous portion, and this trusty little appetizer never fails to satisfy my soft shell crab cravings!
Thai Express has also introduced set deals that serve up really good value! For just $8.90, you can get a set that includes seafood tom yum soup, thai pancakes, and tapioca dessert! The other two sets available featured green curry and a noodle dish (I believe) respectively. I really love the seafood tom yum soup at Thai Express - it's completely clear but wickedly spicy - so this was a steal for me.
Curried Soft Shell Crab with Eggs, Onions and Rice
This is M's favourite soft shell crab dish in Thai Express. I realized the batter must be identical to that of the appetizer, except that it is drenched in a sweet curry sauce. M finds the appetizer version a tad dry and prefers the soft shell crab drenched in sweet curry. I prefer the appetizer still - deep fried soft shell crab in a tasty batter, au naturel!
We clearly miss Thai food, huh.
