Fresh Shucked Oyster
Fresh Shucked Oyster

Is anyone here a fan of seafood? I am. My entire family loves seafood. So for my dad's birthday, we drove to Turf City, where you get to choose live seafood from over 60 tanks! I think my dad had a lot of fun picking out the live seafood for dinner. The fresh oysters were great (freshly shucked oysters are one of my favourite things in life) and I half-wished this was a seafood buffet so that these would have been free flow..

My sister ain't a fan of fresh oysters, so she had it baked with cheese. I had a taste of the cheese mixture and it was delicious!

Stir Fried Asparagus

Our greens for the day was stir fried asparagus, which was pretty good. The asparagus had a nice bite to it, and the sauce it was drenched in was great, savoury stuff only chinese restaurants are capable of.

Flower Clams in Spicy Sauce

These clams were delicious! The spicy sauce had a really good balance of flavours - savoury and spicy with a tinge of sweetness, and was very addictive. The clams were perfect with the sauce.

One of the things that chinese restaurants are really expert in, is the execution of a fantastic steamed fish. Again, the sauce was perfect with the fish, which was moist and had a nice bite (contemporaneous evidence of freshness).

These scallops were just okay, and we really wished we had ordered the bamboo clams instead, which we've always loved from here.

Australian Lobster in Superior Stock

The star of the night! The Australian lobster in superior stock was utterly delicious! The lobster had a fantastic bite to it (the lovely crunch), the fresh sweetness really came through, and the sauce of superior stock that it was coated in brought it to another level altogether! The lobster was really great, but it came at a hefty price tag too (about $100). Essentially, it was a delicious live seafood meal, albeit an expensive one, attributable mainly to the fish and lobster. Makes me miss the seafood in Hong Kong a little...
