Roast Chicken and Avocado Caesar with Poached Egg, $21
It was a belated birthday celebration for my other best friend, a fellow S, who finally received her belated birthday present from me! I had the Roast Chicken and Avocado Caesar with Poached Egg, which was pretty good. The poached egg was runny, the cheese shavings were delightful, and the creamy avocado slices went really well with the roast chicken.
Crabmeat Linguini with Pine Nuts, Tomatoes and Chilli, $22
S had the Crabmeat Linguini with pine nuts, tomatoes and chilli, which was surprisingly tasty. The al dente pasta was coated in a flavourful sauce and topped with crabmeat and cheese shavings. If only the crabmeat was chunkier! And if only there were more of it!
Sticky Date and Toffee Pudding, $12
For dessert we had the faultless Sticky Date and Toffee Pudding. The vanilla ice-cream was made with real vanilla beans (you can spot the dark specks if you look hard enough), and was simply perfect with the sticky pudding!
