It'd be quite a let down if girl's night out ended at dinner, wouldn't it? That's what we thought. We did the only rational thing to do and headed to a cute place for dessert. We chose the al fresco seating area as we were drawn by the candles and soft mood music. The seating area inside was much less quiet, filled with joyous laughter and conversations, perfect if you like a chirpier atmosphere and don't mind having to raise your voice a little to be heard.

Poached Pear, Ice Cream, Dessert
Poached Pear with Ice-Cream

The pear has been poached with Cabernet Sauvignon - you can tell from the dark red hue it has acquired. The texture of the pear was a little hard though, I would have liked it a lot better if it was a little softer and served warm.

Creme Brulee, Dessert
Crème Brûlée

It's generally difficult to go wrong with crème brûlée, and the one at Raindrops was enjoyable. P really liked it, while Z and I were more indifferent.

Western Fish and Chips
Fish and Chips

The fish and chips turned out to be pretty good! I loved the waffle chips, and it's also great that the fish was coated with home-made beer batter. Even better that the sides of greens came with rockets! If only the serving was a tad more generous... the waffle fries disappeared so quickly! We also had some drinks, though they really.. weren't worth mentioning. Still, raindrops is a cute place to chill out and there are a few items on the menu like tataki tuna and squid ink pasta that I'd love to come back to try.
